The An Phu intersection (Thủ Đức City) is a key gateway traffic project that started at the end of 2022. The project is currently being accelerated to be completed by April 30, 2025.
The An Phu intersection is a traffic hotspot at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, where major arteries such as Mai Chi Tho, Luong Dinh Cua, and Dong Van Cong converge, often witnessing congestion during peak hours.
The commencement of the An Phu intersection has attracted attention and community approval, with its modern design expected to enhance the efficiency of the transportation infrastructure, thereby boosting economic development in Thu Duc City. More than a year and a half since its inception, parts of the project have gradually been revealed.
According to the project management board, the construction work is progressing relatively smoothly, meeting the schedule in phases. The contractors are striving to complete parts of the construction such as the tunnels, Bà Dạt Bridge, Giồng Ông Tố Bridge, and other overpasses. Some parts of the project are expected to be completed within this year, and the entire construction is anticipated to conclude before the 30th of April 2025 commemoration.
Recently, Tuoi Tre Online newspaper was present at the An Phu intersection construction site to capture the bustling work atmosphere and the relentless efforts of the workers and engineers, despite the intense and scorching weather.
